born in nz, karen swaffer left to live in london where she pursued a career as a make up artist, working for 15 years in film and television.
after emigrating to sydney with her family in 2003 she rediscovered her passion for colour and design, and began working with glass in 2007.

karen finds the texture, palette and tactile qualities of glass very appealing, and the process of melting and reshaping the beads is for her, a meditative and therapeutic experience
